Scott selected to ACC All-Rookie TeamUniversity of Miami freshman guard Durand Scott has been named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Rookie Team as voted on by 53 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
The Hurricanes have produced an all-conference player in all six years under head coach Frank Haith.

Canes conclude week 2 with scrimmageSophomore A.J. Highsmith threw three touchdown passes and senior defensive lineman Steven Wesley recorded two sacks as the University of Miami football team wrapped up its eighth spring practice with a 100-play scrimmage Saturday morning at the Greentree Practice Fields. Sophomore kicker Jake Wieclaw also had a good day as he connected on 3-of-3 field goal attempts.

Gators edge out Canes 4-2Florida's Bryson Smith hit a three-run home run in the top of the fourth which proved to be the difference as the No. 5 Gators defeated No. 10 Miami, 4-2, to clinch the three-game series Sunday afternoon at Alex Rodriguez Park.

Miami falls to FSU in dramatic fasionMiami rallied from a 10-point deficit with 5:32 remaining in the second half and ran off 12 unanswered points. Durand Scott's driving layup with 2:04 left gave the Hurricanes their first lead at 60-58, but Florida State's Luke Loucks 3-pointer with 1:52 left put the Seminoles ahead 61-60.
